The acquisition is a smart move for Accenture: Last year CRMWaypoint became a platinum partner of Salesforce in 2015 and brings with it not just a skilled workforce but also an established customer base.
Founded in 2006, CRMWaypoint has delivered on more than 600 Salesforce projects across Europe and was one of the first official implementation partners for Salesforce in the Dutch market in early 2008.
For Accenture, a strategic alliance partner of Salesforce, the acquisition is just part of the ongoing development of its cloud services.
“This move accelerates our Cloud First agenda, which is focused on offering transformational and differentiated cloud services across leading and emerging application platforms to help clients move their businesses to the cloud and achieve significant business results more quickly,”
“It follows a clear acquisition strategy that supports our growth model, which is focused primarily on organic growth. We target acquisitions in very specific, high-growth areas of our business.”
Van Tilburg added that the recent acquisition activity is designed to accelerate Accenture’s access to unique capabilities and what it considers strategically important geographies.
CRMWaypoint also fits into Accenture’s wider cloud consulting business and will be fully integrated into Accenture’s Cloud First Applications team within Accenture Technology.
Accenture’s Cloud First business provides implementation, migration and managed services to small-to-medium sized businesses and enterprises along with access to the Accenture Cloud Platform.
“We anticipate that the newly acquired services provided by CRMWaypoint will be integrated into our existing range of cloud strategy, integration and implementation services and expect that our businesses will begin working closely together immediately,”
It's just the latest of several acquisitions designed to boost Accenture’s Salesforce muscle.
